A Summer’s Dream

As we walk slowly along the beach, hand in hand

The soles of our feet warmed on the soft golden sand

Our path being followed by the lapping sea water

For it to fill the footprints we've left, only later

With the sun setting on the horizon

Giving the sky that burning illusion

With it brushed in shades of red and blue

A lovely midsummer's evening to share with you

The cooling breeze, gently swaying the palm

Our own private world, so peaceful and calm

Between reality and paradise we can draw no line

As this is our dream, just yours and mine

Evening Passion

As the candlelight dims

We succumb to our whims

The curves of your beautiful body

Outlined in the flickering candle light

Our soft caress in the silence of the night

Gently stroking, nibbling, and kissing

Our excitement growing and flourishing

And slowly, our unity, two into one

A harmonious bond, so perfect and true

A feeling that will last forever

As our bodies are entwined together

Our passions, that rise to a crescendo

And then the sounds become silent

Our emotions fulfilled, our passions spent

To drift into slumber, so content and still

To dream our dreams together as one we will

Absent Father

I look at the photographs, and see

images of my children

Oh, how I miss them

I miss their laughter, and their tears

I know I'm missing their important years

I feel guilt, sadness and some regrets

I don't know how this will affect them

But then, nobody knows, not just yet
